Tehran: Iran's top security official stated that resistance will shape the future of West Asia. Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Akbar Ahmadian emphasized during a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam al-Sabbagh that the resistance's impact, particularly the recent successful military actions of Lebanon's Hezbollah, has left the Israeli regime despondent on the battlefield. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ahmadian remarked that the Israeli regime has achieved nothing but the loss of thousands of lives over more than a year of conflict in Palestine and its recent aggressions in Lebanon. He noted that global public opinion now recognizes the legitimacy of the Palestinian people's struggles and the realities of Zionist occupation and racism. Ahmadian also praised the enduring and strong relations between Iran and Syria, commending Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for his steadfastness in confronting challenges over recent years. Sabbagh expressed gratitude for Iran's leadership in the regional resistance movement, asserting that those attempting to drive a wedge between Iran and Syria fail to grasp the strategic nature of their relationship. He further stated that Hezbollah's conflict with Israel transcends the defense of Lebanon, as the group is safeguarding the wider region and Arab world from Israeli aggressions.
