Representatives of Arab publishing houses at the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 have said that intellectuals from across the Arab world eagerly anticipate this annual fair, which they considered one of the most prestigious and distinguished events that draws significant participation from Arab publishers and writers. Dr. Hazem Al-Shammari, supervisor of the Union of Iraqi Writers' pavilion, highlighted the great importance of the Riyadh International Book Fair for all Arab publishers and writers due to the esteemed religious and political status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among Arabs as well as its prestigious global standing. He told the Saudi Press Agency that the fair represents a significant step in enriching the Arab cultural movement, noting that it provides exceptional services and advanced technological resources that facilitate access to desired book titles and publishing houses. Mohammed Samida, head of the Egyptian Dar Al-Qiblatain pavilion, said that the fair is one of the most promine nt of its kind in the Arab world, renowned for its various events and significant public turnout. He added that visitors have diverse interests in sciences, literature, heritage, languages, in addition to children's books and novels. Amr Al-Dababi, marketing manager of Dar Al-Nahda Al-Arabiya, told the Saudi Press Agency that the fair sets itself apart from others through its continuous development and improvement year after year, adding the publishing house he represents has been an active participant in the Riyadh Book Fair for over 24 years. Mohammed Attia, supervisor of the Lebanese Dar Al-Gharb Al-Islami pavilion, expressed his delight at the annual participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair. He emphasized the significance of this cultural gathering in fostering the exchange of ideas and knowledge, describing the fair as a leading Arab and international event.
