The Federation of Saudi Chambers delegation, represented by the Saudi-Canadian Business Council, has initiated a new phase in Saudi-Canadian economic relations following a six-year hiatus in trade delegation activities between the two countries. This renewed engagement aligns with the visit of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, who is in Canada to explore expanded trade and investment opportunities between Saudi and Canadian business communities. A key roundtable meeting was held in Toronto, organized by the Saudi-Canadian Business Council. The event was attended by Minister Alkhorayef, Saudi Ambassador to Canada Amal Al-Moalimi, President of the Saudi-Canadian Business Council Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Dulaim, and several prominent investors. Discussions centered on investment opportunities in both countries, particularly in strategic sectors such as mining and industries in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The meeting also resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understand ing to establish a Saudi-Canadian company specializing in designing and manufacturing complex structures for entertainment and sports events. Al-Dulaim highlighted the council's success in revitalizing Saudi-Canadian economic cooperation, citing productive discussions with major Canadian companies, the signing of commercial partnerships, and the opening of a Business Council office in Toronto as significant milestones of this visit. In July, the Federation of Saudi Chambers announced the final formation of the Saudi-Canadian Business Council, marking a crucial step in restoring economic relations after years of suspended trade missions and delegation activities.
