Vienna:Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations, Mikhail Ulyanov, has refuted claims made by the US envoy to the UN regarding Iran's nuclear program, asserting that Iran has an inalienable right to maintain such a program.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ulyanov criticized the stance of the US Ambassador, stating that the US position is based on misconceptions about non-proliferation norms and the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Ulyanov's comments were made in response to US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, who accused Iran of violating its nuclear obligations and refusing to cease its nuclear program.
