Russia-Iran Relations Deemed a ‘Responsible Partnership’ by Russian Official

Moscow: The relationship between Iran and Russia has been characterized as a 'responsible partnership' by an adviser to the Russian president on economic affairs. This partnership is grounded in mutual respect, pragmatism, and a shared commitment to tackling contemporary global challenges.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during a recent meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, Anton Kobyakov emphasized the importance of mutual support amid the current complex international climate. He noted that both nations are dedicated to fulfilling specific agreements and strengthening supply chains to ensure the continuous flow of essential goods for their citizens and economies.

The Russian official also underscored Iran's significant role as a key member of regional and international blocs, such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). He added that expanding economic ties between Moscow and Tehran serves the interests of both nations and the broader Eurasian region.

In response, Ambassador Jalali expressed gratitude for Russia's principled and supportive stance toward Iran. He reaffirmed Tehran's commitment to bolstering economic relations and advancing strategic cooperation in the post-war era.
