Local authorities in several Russian provinces near the border with Ukraine announced that they confronted Ukrainian drones at dawn on Wednesday. The governor of the Russian Voronezh province, Alexander Gusev, announced the downing of a "large number" of Ukrainian drones, noting that air defense forces and electronic jamming means continue to destroy the drones. He confirmed that there were no casualties as a result of the attack, noting that the falling wreckage of the drones caused material damage to a number of residential buildings, facilities and public transportation stops. In Kursk province, Acting Governor Alexei Smirnov announced the downing of 4 Ukrainian missiles. The air attack alert in the province was canceled hours after it was announced, as the acting governor confirmed the operation of air defense systems to confront the attack. In Lipetsk Oblast, Governor Igor Artamonov declared a threat of drone attacks, urging residents to stay in safe places until the alert is lifted.
