A peregrine falcon chick from Al-Dabdaba area of Hafr Al-Batin Governorate, presented by falconers Sanafi and Mutlaq Al-Dosari, became the most expensive bird at the Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2024, which is taking place at the club's headquarters in Malham and runs through November 15th. The chick was sold for SAR400,000 on the sixth night of the auction amid intense competition, with bidding starting at SAR60,000. Al-Dabdaba falcon surpassed a bird sold on the fourth night for SAR240,000. Mutlaq Al-Dosari expressed his happiness at offering the most expensive falcon in the Saudi Falcons Club Auction so far, noting that this was his first time participating. He praised the considerable efforts of the Saudi Falcons Club and the benefits it provides to falconers, which help to preserve this ancient heritage. When asked if he expected his falcon to be the most expensive in the auction, Al-Dosari revealed, "I received many offers outside the auction, but I insisted on selling it through the Saudi Falcons Clu b Auction." He noted that the bidding process for his falcon took between five and six minutes. Mutlaq and Sanafi Al-Dosari offered a peregrine falcon chick that measured 15.25 inches in length, 15.5 inches in width, and 1,020 grams in weight.
