The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) announced the number of registrants for the third annual Industrial Hackathon, which aims to attract talented young innovators to develop creative solutions for challenges facing national manufacturers.Over 8,000 individuals registered for this year's hackathon, which ran from August 25 to September 27. This translates to 977 teams competing across the three tracks of design, sustainability, and production.Participants will embark on a journey with several stages. On October 1, qualifying teams will be announced and advance to a boot camp stage held on October 10 and 11. The stage will include workshops and mentoring sessions. The hackathon culminates on October 12 with a closing ceremony where the winners will be announced.The total prize pool for the 2024 Industrial Hackathon exceeds SAR1.4 million.
