Ship Traffic Slows To A Trickle In Strait Of Hormuz, Data Service Says

Strait of hormuz: Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has almost ground to a halt again following the renewed exchange of attacks between the United States and Iran, German Press Agency (dpa) reported, citing data provider Kpler on Friday. Only eight ships passed through the strait on Thursday, marking the lowest figure in three weeks. There were 15 passages on Wednesday, indicating a significant drop in maritime activity.

According to Nam News Network, the figure two weeks ago was 48, highlighting a sharp decline in ship traffic. Prior to the escalation of conflict in late February, more than 100 ships typically navigated the crucial waterway each day on average. The Strait of Hormuz serves as a pivotal passage for global oil supply, and the reduction in ship traffic could have implications for international markets.
