Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said Sunday scout Movement is not only a youth movement, but rather a philosophy of life based on noble values and lofty principles, such as volunteer work, community service, loyalty to homeland, and mutual respect between people and culture. This came during Sobhi's participation in a discussion titled "World Trends" as part of the World Organization of Scout Movement (WOSM) that discussed the most prominent global economic and social trends. The 43rd edition of WOSM is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Cairo during the period from August 17 to 23, with the participation of 176 countries in the presence of Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the Sustainable Development Group. The Minister underlined the importance of the role of scouting in developing youth and building strong societies, praising the efforts made in organizing this major global event, which works to highlight the pivotal role played by scout movement in developing the personality of youth.
