Irrigation Minister Hany Sweilam chaired a meeting with senior officials Monday to review measures taken during the months of June, July and August, which constitute the season of maximum water needs.The Ministry acted to solve water distribution and management problems in a number of sites on the network of canals across Egypt during the summer, Sweilam said.The measures were successful, the minister told the officials. He cited efforts exerted to reach the required levels of water at the canals of Hammam, Suez, Port Said, Bahr Maurice and Wadi el-Naqra among other areas in the country.Source: State Information Service Egypt
