Tehran: The 36th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) commenced on May 7, 2025, at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran and is set to continue until May 17. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Culture Minister Abbas Salehi officially inaugurated the event, which carries the theme 'Let's Read for Iran.'

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the fair showcases the work of 2,363 Iranian publishers, with 1,626 attending in person. These publishers are displaying their latest book offerings across a vast area of 75,000 square meters.

Iraq holds the position of Guest of Honor at TIBF 2025, highlighting cultural exchange efforts between Iran and Iraq as part of Iran's cultural diplomacy initiatives.
