The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan , arrived in Moscow today at the head of a high-level judicial delegation. The Council stated in a statement: "The President of the Council is visiting the Russian Federation based on the invitation extended by the Presidency of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation for the purpose of enhancing judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries." The visiting delegation included the Chief Public Prosecutor, the Head of the Judicial Supervision Authority, the Presidents of the Courts of Appeal (Basra - Qadisiyah) and the Director General of the General Judicial Guards Department. The delegation was received by the First Deputy President of the Russian Supreme Court, Yuri Ivanenko, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Mikhail Baskakov.
