Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that neither the Iranian people nor the Armed Forces would succumb to threats, as millions gathered to honor the country's martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Araghchi made this statement post attending the funeral ceremony of the martyred Leader.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi emphasized the unity displayed by the Iranian populace in a post on X, stating, "Millions of proud Iranians rallied in unity to honor Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and his legacy. Neither them nor our Brave Armed Forces are moved by any threats."

Araghchi also referenced Paragraph 13 of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States, highlighting its stipulation that negotiations on a final deal would not commence if threats persisted. He asserted, "Para 13 of the MoU is clear: Negotiations on final Deal will not commence if threats continue. Honor your signature."

The MoU, facilitated by Pakistan, was electronically signed by Iran and the US on June 17, 2026, establishing a framework for ongoing diplomacy and extending the ceasefire between the two nations.
