The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged the public to exercise caution, stay in safe areas, avoid flood-prone zones, and refrain from swimming in them. It called the public to adhere to the instructions announced through various media and social media due to ongoing thunderstorms affecting some regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from Wednesday through Sunday. The directorate indicated that the Makkah Region will be affected by moderate to heavy rain, which will lead to flooding, hail, and winds that stir up dust and sand. This includes Makkah, Al-Jumum, Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Aradiyat, and Al-Kamil. Light to moderate rain is expected in Al-Khurmah, Turbah, Ranyah, Al-Muwayh, Al-Lith, Qunfudhah, Bahrah, and Khulais. The directorate stated that the regions of Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan will experience moderate to heavy rain, while light to moderate rain is expected in the regions of Najran and Madinah.
