Top IRGC Commander Announces Successful Completion of Great Prophet 19 Naval Drill

Bushehr: Commander of the Naval Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri announced that all objectives for the Great Prophet 19 naval exercise have been successfully achieved. The exercise included various operations and the successful targeting of mock enemy positions. Speaking to reporters in the southern city of Bushehr, Rear Admiral Tangsiri emphasized the positive outcomes of the exercise, noting that all set goals were realized.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the exercise involved the firing of shore-to-sea and surface-to-surface missiles with various ranges. A notable milestone was the inaugural launch of the Navvab missile, which provided air protection for the Martyr Soleimani-class vessel and successfully hit its targets. Tangsiri further highlighted the use of cruise and ballistic missiles, along with upgraded Qadr missiles, aimed at enhancing range and accuracy, particularly in countering electronic warfare.

Rear Admiral Tangsiri stated that the exercises were designed to bolster the IRGC naval forces' preparedness against potential enemy threats, while also conveying a message of peace and friendship to neighboring nations. The Great Prophet 19 naval exercise is part of the annual Eghtedar (Power) exercise series, which recently included land-based drills carried out jointly by the IRGC and Army forces across Iran, notably in Kermanshah and Isfahan provinces.
