Saudi handicrafts are in the spotlight at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition, hosted at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh. Organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, this event started on October 3 and goes on until October 12. With traditional handicrafts from all over the Kingdom on display, the exhibition offers a window into Saudi heritage, captivating visitors intrigued by the diverse cultural tapestry of Saudi Arabia. The event features a great number of crafts representing various regions, including Sadu weaving, embroidery, palm frond weaving, leatherwork, palm and gypsum crafts, prayer beads, gemstones, textiles, sculptures, traditional engravings, art, and artistic models. The Heritage Commission is participating in the exhibition with a pavilion where it strives to raise awareness about the importance of national heritage and of fostering national identity, and to highlight falconry as a key aspect of Saudi cultural identity. The commission als o presents its role in preserving and enhancing heritage through interactive cultural experiences. The exhibition is free and open every day from 4 pm to 11 pm. It has a special section for art, crafts, and sculptures, including a place where Over 400 exhibitors from 45 countries participate in the exhibition, which spans 160,000 square meters. There are special pavilions for falcons, falconry, and related hobbies that sell a variety of hunting weapons, falconry supplies, food items, camping gear, hunting tools, motorcycles, bicycles, and all-terrain vehicles.
