The Ministry of Transport announced today, Sunday, that an earthquake was recorded near the Iraqi-Iranian border.A statement by the Ministry stated that "the seismic observatories of the Ministry of Transport in the Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring Authority recorded an earthquake this afternoon, Sunday, near the Iraqi-Iranian border."The statement added that "the earthquake is about 25 km from the Iraqi-Iranian border," noting that "the magnitude of the earthquake reached 3.9 degrees and was not felt by citizens living near the border."Source: National Iraqi News Agency
