According to Nam News Network, President Trump confirmed that the US military effectively dismantled new Iranian equipment constructed along the strategic Strait of Hormuz. This assertion follows a reported US strike on Tuesday night, which Iranian officials claimed tragically targeted a wedding party in southern Iran, resulting in the deaths of at least four individuals and injuring dozens more. The US Central Command responded that it is reviewing these reports and reiterated its policy of not targeting civilians.

When queried about the possibility of renaming the Strait of Hormuz after himself, President Trump dismissed the notion, stating, "No, no ... it was just thrown out there." This clarification came after Trump previously floated the idea on Truth Social, suggesting a renaming of the waterway following a recent executive order that renamed Lake Ontario to "Lake America" amidst rising tensions with Canada over tariffs.

The proposition of renaming the Strait of Hormuz follows Trump's recent declaration at a Long Island rally, where he stated his intention to declare the strait as US territory upon the purported defeat of Iran.
