He added that the teams have so far been able to extinguish the fires in Bolu provinces (northwest) and Izmir (southwest of the country). He pointed out the combined efforts of official bodies and local residents to extinguish the outbreak of fires, as specialized fixed-wing firefighting aircraft and helicopters were used, as the fires broke out in high, rugged mountains with few paths covered with dense forests, which requires the use of specialized aviation in firefighting operations.
