The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israeli occupation forces' attacks targeting the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in the Gaza Strip. "The damage caused to the hospital by the Israeli forces and its use as a military base is part of Israel's systematic policy aimed at the annihilation of the Palestinian people," the ministry said in a statement issued on Tuesday. "The photo in the Palestinian press showing a group of Israeli soldiers in front of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in Gaza is further evidence of Israel's violation of international law and international humanitarian law," the statement added. "The Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital is the only center for cancer patients in Gaza," the ministry said. "We will continue to work to ensure that those responsible for these attacks are brought to justice in international courts," the statement underlined. Turkiye asserted its commitment to holding those responsible for attacking healthcare facilities in Gaza ac countable since Israeli occupation forces have been using the only cancer hospital as a military base for months.
