Siena:Iran has condemned accusations by British officials regarding an alleged security breach at the Fairford air base, labeling the claims as part of an 'ugly conspiracy' against the nation.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement criticizing the UK government for its 'baseless' allegations and its use of ambiguous language without providing solid evidence. The ministry emphasized that these claims are part of a broader campaign to smear Iran and deflect attention from Britain's involvement in US-Israeli military actions against Iran.
The statement highlighted the UK's use of terms like 'highly likely' and 'almost certainly' as a tactic to avoid responsibility for making unfounded accusations. It further accused the UK of a history of fabricating security claims that have contributed to conflict and tension in the West Asia region.
Iran's Foreign Ministry rejected the accusations outright and held the UK accountable for the consequences of what it described as a 'clumsy false-flag operation' designed to undermine international peace and security.
