Washington: The US and Israel are reportedly preparing a joint bombing campaign aimed at Iranian energy infrastructure, as revealed by US broadcaster CBS.

According to Deutsche Welle, unnamed sources informed CBS that the military strikes could be initiated over the weekend. However, these sources noted that US President Donald Trump had not yet given the final approval for the operation.

The planned assault is anticipated to be among the most severe actions taken in the ongoing US-Israeli conflict with Iran, the report highlighted.
