Beirut: Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem has praised the resilience of the Iranian nation, stressing that its steadfastness has led to the defeat of the United States and Israel in their wars against Iran. 'The United States and the Zionist regime were defeated in their three wars against the Islamic Republic of Iran because of the Iranian nation's unity and steadfastness. This great nation was able to create a historic epic,' Sheikh Qassem said on Sunday during a speech marking Muslim Unity Week and the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Sheikh Qassem emphasized the importance of standing firm to defend rights, land, and freedom, stating that the US and Israel will never succeed in their plans as long as such unity is maintained. He urged Muslim nations to focus on their main enemy rather than allowing internal disputes to create divisions.

The Hezbollah chief highlighted the cost of resistance and steadfastness but underscored their significance as the foundation of a strong position against adversaries. He noted that resistance strengthens the ability to achieve goals and counter the enemy's strategies, despite the pressures, sanctions, and military actions from the US and Israel.

Qassem also mentioned the unity established in Lebanon among Hezbollah, the Amal Movement, and various political groups opposing Israel, aiming at the liberation of occupied lands.
