Washington: The US military's Central Command has dismissed Iranian allegations that its recent strikes were acts of aggression, emphasizing the strategic and restrained nature of the actions taken on Sunday.

According to Deutsche Welle, the Central Command clarified via social media that "US forces took limited, precise action against IRGC minelaying forces posing an imminent threat in the Strait of Hormuz." The military highlighted that the operations were necessary to counter threats and ensure the safety of civilian mariners, commercial shipping, and the unimpeded flow of global commerce.

The statement was in response to accusations from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which labeled the US strikes as an "act of aggression." The IRGC claimed that the strikes were intended to address America's "domestic problems" and "diminished credibility."
