Tashkent: Uzbekistan is set to strengthen its health and medical ties with Iran, as Iran's ambassador to Tashkent expressed readiness to expand cooperation in the sector. The initiative aims to enhance bilateral relations by leveraging Iran's medical capabilities and achievements.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Iranian Ambassador Mohammad-Ali Eskandari recently met with Uzbekistan's Minister of Health, Eldar Adilov, to discuss Iran's advancements in various aspects of healthcare. These include medical education, pharmaceutical production, medical equipment manufacturing, and international patient services. Ambassador Eskandari highlighted Iran's progress and proposed a roadmap for cooperation between the two countries.

The Uzbek minister welcomed the proposal, expressing Uzbekistan's readiness to implement the bilateral roadmap. Both parties emphasized the importance of expanding ties between their scientific and medical centers, engaging in joint investments, and collaborating on projects in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment sectors. The collaboration aims to capitalize on Iran's medical expertise to benefit both nations.
