War with Iran Would Be ‘Suicidal’: Tucker Carlson Warns U.S. Neocons

Washington: Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has warned that war with Iran would be 'suicidal,' asserting that anyone advocating for it is an 'enemy' of the United States. In a post on X on Tuesday, Carlson emphasized that the U.S. cannot afford such a conflict, cautioning that 'thousands of Americans would die' as a result.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Carlson stated that regardless of opinions on tariffs, the current climate is the worst possible time for the United States to engage in a military strike on Iran. He expressed that although the U.S. is likely to lose a war following an attack against Iran, the nation is closer to conflict than ever due to persistent pressure from neoconservatives.

Carlson, a known supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump, described the situation as 'suicidal' and claimed that anyone promoting a conflict with Iran is not an ally of the United States, but an enemy. Recent weeks have seen heightened tensions between the two nations, particularly after Trump's warning of 'bombing' Iran if it refused negotiations over its nuclear program.

Iran has firmly rejected the idea of direct talks with the United States, citing Washington's withdrawal from the 2015 Iran deal during Trump's first term. Nevertheless, indirect talks between the two countries are scheduled to take place in Oman on Saturday. Tehran has labeled these discussions as a 'test' and an 'opportunity' for Washington.
