Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has firmly stated that the United States has "no business" in dictating Iran's foreign policy, following recent warnings from U.S. President Donald Trump for Iran to cease its support of Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araqchi expressed his position via a post on X, emphasizing that the United States lost any authority over Iranian foreign policy with the events of 1979. This statement comes in response to President Trump's recent order of airstrikes on Yemen's capital, Sana'a, and his threats to hold Iran responsible for the activities of the Ansarullah movement. Araqchi further criticized Washington's support for the Israeli regime, particularly highlighting the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. He urged the United States to cease its backing of what he termed "Israeli genocide and terrorism," as well as to stop the "killing of Yemeni people." The foreign minister also referenced U.S. President Joe Biden's previou s actions, accusing him of having been "bamboozled" into providing $23 billion to a regime he described as genocidal. Araqchi concluded by asserting that more than 60,000 Palestinians have been killed, placing accountability on America for these events.
