Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has emphasized that mainstream Western media are actively facilitating and justifying genocide in Gaza, citing a newly published book titled How to Sell a Genocide. Posting on X on Friday, Baqaei shared an image of the book and wrote, 'Not just bias - complicity; 'How to Sell a Genocide' exposes the fact that mainstream Western media didn't simply exhibit the habitual bias, but actively enabled and justified mass atrocity. Through carefully crafted language, manipulative framing, and the relentless amplification of Israeli and American official narratives, they sanitized horrors, downplayed human suffering, and whitewashed Israel's atrocities in Gaza - all the while sheltering behind the hollow pretense of 'professional journalism.'

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Israeli war on Gaza, which escalated after October 7, 2023, has resulted in tens of thousands of casualties and widespread destruction in the besieged territory. International organizations have repeatedly warned of a deepening humanitarian crisis, including mass displacement, shortages of food and medicine, and severe damage to civilian infrastructure.

Iran has consistently condemned the Israeli regime's military crimes in the Gaza Strip and called for accountability at international forums.
