Tehran: A ceremony to commemorate World Humanitarian Day and honor the martyrs of the Iranian Red Crescent Society was held in Tehran on Monday evening. The event saw participation from various notable figures, including the head of the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the head of the Red Crescent Society, the head of the Martyrs Foundation, the vice president for women and family affairs, as well as several civilian and military officials.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the ceremony paid tribute to the families of the martyrs who lost their lives during the 12-day Israeli-imposed war on Iran in June. As part of the commemoration, a book titled ‘For Iran’ was unveiled, further highlighting the sacrifices made by the martyrs in their service to humanitarian causes.
