Tehran: Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi has stated that the narratives surrounding the recent war of aggression by the Israeli regime and the United States against Iran do not accurately reflect the actual devastation incurred by the country. Gharibabadi made these remarks while announcing the publication of a bilingual collection of documents related to the foreign aggression against Iran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Gharibabadi emphasized that while physical wounds may heal over time, the narrative of the conflict endures in history. He highlighted that the newly published document serves as a testimony to the struggle and sacrifices made by the Iranian people in defense of their national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The senior diplomat further explained that the Foreign Ministry, in coordination with defense sectors and under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, initiated a comprehensive campaign in international arenas against Israel and the United States from the onset of their unprovoked aggression towards Iran. This campaign aimed to uphold the country’s legitimacy in self-defense and to underscore the necessity of punishing the aggressors. Gharibabadi noted that the campaign led to widespread condemnation of the Zionist regime and the United States at international forums, regional organizations, and among numerous countries worldwide.
He elaborated that the document, compiled in Persian and English in book form, includes diplomatic notes, official correspondence with international institutions, statements by regional and global organizations, as well as legal documents and reports. All these documents have been registered with international organizations, particularly the United Nations, and stress the importance of confronting the West’s dual policies regarding terrorism, aggression, and violations of international law.
Gharibabadi concluded by stating that the documents pertaining to the war can serve as a valid reference for researchers and lawyers.
