Baghdad: Yemen's Ansarullah Movement has issued a stern warning to the United States concerning its military buildup in the West Asia region. The movement has declared its readiness to confront the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the regional waters.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, a military source informed that Ansarullah will not tolerate the presence of American ships or aircraft carriers near the Red Sea or the Arabian Sea. Brigadier General Aziz Rashid, closely associated with Ansarullah, highlighted a previous successful attack on the British-linked tanker Marlin Luanda in the Gulf of Aden. He announced that similar actions might be taken against American ships perceived as threats to Yemen.

The Yemeni armed forces have reportedly increased their combat readiness, closely observing enemy movements following the deployment of a US strike group led by the USS Abraham Lincoln. General Rashid referenced a video released by Ansarullah's media bureau earlier in the week. It depicted the targeting and burning of the British tanker, serving as a reminder of past attacks and the sinking of numerous ships for breaching the naval embargo imposed by Sana'a on Israel.

Rashid asserted that Yemen has developed advanced naval capabilities to track and target hostile vessels. He confirmed that the armed forces are fully prepared to defend against any attack and engage enemy targets in both the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.
