Yemeni Army Launches Strikes on U.S. Warships and Israeli Military Positions

Sana'a: The Yemeni armed forces have launched a series of strikes against the USS Harry S. Truman and several U.S. warships in the Red Sea, as well as the Israeli military positions in Jaffa, located in northern occupied Palestine. The strikes were announced in a statement by the Yemeni armed forces, highlighting a response to U.S. actions against Yemen and marking the 10th anniversary of the Yemeni National Resistance on March 26. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Yemeni military operation involved missile, drone, and naval forces targeting these strategic locations. The strikes were conducted as a stance against U.S. aggression and to support Palestinian rights in Gaza. The Yemeni drone unit specifically targeted Israeli military installations in occupied Jaffa, emphasizing their commitment to Palestinian support. The statement from the Yemeni armed forces underlined their continuous confrontation against U.S. aggression and their efforts to disrupt Israeli naval operations. The armed forces declared their intention to persist with these operations until the blockade on Gaza is lifted. This operation followed U.S. airstrikes on the northern Yemeni province of Sa'ada, which resulted in civilian injuries, as reported by Sa'ada's Human Rights Office. Earlier, Yasser al-Houri, the secretary of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, reiterated Yemen's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. In an interview with IRNA, Houri emphasized that defending Palestine is synonymous with defending Yemen and the broader Islamic community, underscoring the nation's solidarity with Palestinian aspirations.
