Yemenis Rally to Condemn U.S. and U.K. Airstrikes

Sanaa: Millions of Yemenis have poured into the streets in cities across Yemen to show their support for the Ansarullah-led government in Sanaa after the recent widespread bombardment by the U.S. and the U.K. fighter jets.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, large crowds of people gathered in Al-Sabain Square in Sanaa and other squares in other Yemeni provinces on Monday to show their strong support for their government against the Western states' strikes which come in support of the Israeli regime. The rally was organized in response to the U.S. and U.K.'s recent attacks on Yemen, and the subsequent targeting of U.S. ships in the Red Sea by Yemeni armed forces.

The recent aerial attacks by the U.S.-Israeli aggression coalition have targeted residential areas in the cities of Sanaa and Saada. Abdul Malik Al Houthi, leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement, had urged Yemenis on Sunday to maintain their unity and hold rallies amid the U.S. and U.K. airstrikes.
