This came in a statement after chairing a meeting of the Kuwaiti Higher Organizing Committee for the tournament, saying that work is progressing in a steady pace to ensure an extraordinary tournament and successful organization. He added that intensifying efforts to organize this sporting event in its finest look comes as an implementation of the political leadership's directives, which embodies the deep-rooted Gulf relations that unite our peoples throughout history. He noted that all financial and administrative aspects have been covered during the meeting, expressing his confidence in Kuwaiti cadres to complete the task on time and their abilities in organizing any major sport event.
