The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at King Abdullah Port in Rabigh has thwarted an attempt to smuggle 54 kilograms of cocaine, which was found hidden in a consignment of bananas coming into the Kingdom through the port. ZATCA said it is committed to tightening customs control of the Kingdom's imports and exports, stressing that it will stay vigilant to thwart smuggling attempts in coordination and cooperation with its partners at the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to ensure the security of society. The authority called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect the society and the national economy by calling the hotline: 1910, via email: [email protected], or through the international number 00966114208417. The authority receives reports related to smuggling and customs violations in complete confidentiality and grants a financial reward to those who provide correct information about smuggling attempts.
