18th National Handicrafts Exhibition Showcases Iranian Craftsmanship in Hamedan

Hamedan: The 18th National Handicrafts Exhibition commenced with notable attendees including the Governor of Hamedan and the deputy minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts. The event is being held at Hamedan's permanent international fairground, inviting visitors to explore a wide array of traditional arts and crafts from across Iran until August 21.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the exhibition features handicrafts from 29 provinces, showcased in 181 booths. Out of these, 53 booths are dedicated to artisans from Hamedan, with an additional 33 representing various other parts of the province. The exhibition highlights a spectrum of crafts including precious and semi-precious stones, leather goods, woodturning, and pottery painting, among others.

Mohsen Masoum Alizadeh, the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Hamedan Province, emphasized the diversity of the showcased items. Attendees can admire traditional crafts such as Pateh embroidery, turquoise inlay, copper engraving, and geometric woodwork. The event is open daily from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM, offering a platform for artisans to display their skills and for visitors to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Iran.
