Mashhad: Director of Hajj and Pilgrimage of Razavi Khorasan Province has announced the dispatch of 3,780 pilgrims in 30 caravans for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. These caravans will comprise both Shia and Sunni Muslims.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mehdi Shojaee, the director, stated that Mashhad Hasheminejad International Airport is one of eight designated airports in Iran for dispatching pilgrims. He mentioned that final negotiations are in progress to facilitate direct air travel from various provincial origins.
Shojaee further explained that while air dispatch requires final approvals, the current plan involves a combination of land and air travel. Additionally, a team of 120 service personnel has already been sent from Tehran to Saudi Arabia to evaluate the journey's conditions.
