Administration Calls for Public Participation in Quds Day Rallies

Tehran: The administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian has extended an invitation to the general public to take part in this year's International Quds Day rallies. This call aims to encourage a massive turnout in support of the event.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Government Information Council released a statement on Thursday evening highlighting the significance of Quds Day. The statement describes the day as an occasion for the Muslim community to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians, emphasizing resistance and unity against oppression and occupation. It further portrays the day as a symbol of Islamic awakening, the pursuit of justice, and the defense of the rights of oppressed nations.

The statement also honors the memory of over 200 journalists and media personnel who have lost their lives in Palestine and Lebanon since the onset of the Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip. The Council urges all freedom-loving individuals in Iran to convey a message of resistance and solidarity with the Palestinian people through their active participation in the march.

Moreover, the statement calls upon institutions and organizations to engage in efforts to highlight the significance of Al-Quds Day. It underscores that the unity demonstrated on this day reflects Islamic dignity and the commitment to human dignity, justice, and the defense of the oppressed.

The statement concludes by asserting that the march is not only a response to the plight of oppressed people but also a testament to the Iranian nation's dedication to human and Islamic ideals. The Quds Day rallies, held annually on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, are scheduled to take place across Iran on March 28.
