Tehran: American journalist Calla Walsh has emphasized the critical role of solidarity and steadfastness among the Iranian populace as fundamental elements in Iran’s triumphs against Israel and the United States. Walsh conveyed her observations during an interview with IRNA, underlining the resilience and unity of the Iranian people amid ongoing geopolitical challenges.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Walsh articulated her views on the enduring strength of the Iranian nation despite the persistent siege and sanctions imposed upon them. She remarked on the indigenous military capabilities and production achievements of Iran, which have persisted in the face of substantial external pressures. Walsh criticized the narratives from the Zionist and US entities regarding the effectiveness of their attacks, suggesting that these narratives are exaggerated to inflate their own perceived strength.
In discussing her awareness of the Iran-Israel conflict, Walsh expressed her long-standing engagement with the ongoing issues in the region, particularly the resistance against Zionism and US imperialism. She noted the broader implications of these conflicts on other regions, including Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, as well as the global south.
Walsh firmly denied that Israel had accomplished its objectives in its confrontations with Iran, pointing to the resilience and unity she observed among Iranians. She characterized the claims about Iran’s nuclear capabilities being compromised as false, suggesting that such statements are part of a broader strategy by the US and Zionist entities to project an inflated sense of success.
Reflecting on Iran’s missile capabilities and its actions against Israel, Walsh invoked the words of Malcolm X, describing the situation as a moment of reckoning for the Zionist and imperialist forces. She noted the international reactions, particularly in the United States, where protests in support of Iran and the axis of resistance have taken place. Walsh called for continued and escalated protests in response to the ongoing conflict and its humanitarian impacts.
