Americans’ Midterm Election Rejects War, Says Iran’s Parliament Speaker

Tehran:Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that the American people have rejected war, expressing Iran's support for their decision.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf commented on the outcome of the US midterm elections by acknowledging the American public's message against war. He emphasized Iran's agreement with this sentiment, warning that if the US government ignores the public's will in favor of external influences, it could face severe consequences.

Ghalibaf's remarks were made following projections from the US midterm elections indicating that the Democratic Party had gained control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives. This development represents a significant setback for President Donald Trump's Republican Party. The elections saw a historic voter turnout, with key issues including economic conditions, rising fuel prices, the ongoing war with Iran, and concerns about declining democracy influencing voters' decisions.
