Tehran:Another non-compliant oil tanker caught fire on Monday morning after striking mines while navigating through an unauthorized and unsafe route east of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the incident involved a tanker that had turned off its navigation systems, which contributed to the accident. The Iranian Navy highlighted the dangers of such actions, emphasizing the risks of traveling through prohibited areas without proper coordination.

The Iranian Navy reiterated its warning to tanker owners, urging them to avoid switching off navigation systems and to steer clear of high-risk areas. They stressed that such uncoordinated transits could result in severe consequences, including striking naval mines and resulting fires.
