Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that moving military ships close to the Strait of Hormuz constitutes a ceasefire violation. The IRGC Navy, in its latest statement, has declared that contrary to the baseless claims of the American-Zionist enemy, the passage of civilian vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is permitted under smart management and control, in accordance with specified regulations.According to Islamic Republic News Agency, any military vessels that intend to approach the Strait of Hormuz under any pretext will be considered a ceasefire violation, and they will be dealt with firmly and harshly. Tensions escalated after a joint US-Israeli aggression against Iran on February 28, 2026, amidst indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington.Iran then launched retaliatory strikes against US and Israeli assets in the region and announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to vessels linked to the parties involved in the conflict.
