Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the need to deepen economic and consular relations with Armenia as part of Tehran's policy of fostering good neighborly relations. Araghchi's comments were made during a meeting held in Tehran with Davoud Yayji, who has been newly appointed as Iran's consul general in Kapan, Armenia. Yayji presented his plans for his new mission before setting off for the city.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi underscored the significance of Iran-Armenia relations and advocated for the expansion of ties in areas of shared interest, particularly focusing on economic and consular cooperation.
