Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in separate meetings with Iran's new ambassador to Kazakhstan and new consul general in the Iraqi city of Karbala, urged for utilizing existing capacities to expand cooperation with the countries.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi, in his meeting with Mahmoud Safari Farkhond, Iran's new ambassador to Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the economic, commercial, transit, and energy sectors. This focus aims to leverage shared interests and mutual benefits between Iran and Kazakhstan.

In a separate meeting with Mohammad Reza Sokout, the new consul general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karbala, Araghchi highlighted the significance of enhancing the good and brotherly relations between Iran and Iraq. He stressed the importance of cooperation in religious affairs, fostering people-to-people exchanges, facilitating the movement of pilgrims, and better organizing pilgrimage trips between the two nations.

During these meetings, the two newly appointed diplomats presented their agendas for developing bilateral cooperation before departing for their respective missions.
