Ashgabat:Tehran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has returned to Tehran following a diplomatic visit to Ashgabat. During the one-day trip, Araghchi engaged in discussions with senior Turkmen officials to explore bilateral relations and avenues for enhanced cooperation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi met with Turkmen Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. Their discussions focused on the latest developments in bilateral ties and the potential for strengthening cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat.

The talks included considerations of expanding political and economic relations, as well as discussions on regional and international developments. Both parties emphasized the importance of leveraging existing capacities to enhance cooperation in various political and economic sectors.

This visit was part of ongoing consultations between Iran and Turkmenistan, aimed at building upon previously signed agreements, addressing trade barriers, and fostering regional cooperation.
