Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the upcoming round of talks has not been scheduled, with nothing finalized as of now. “Indirect negotiations have not been finalized yet, and I do not endorse any country in this regard,” Araghchi told reporters.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi discussed the visit of the Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, noting that negotiations with the Agency are planned for tomorrow concerning a new cooperation framework. He emphasized that no agreement has been reached yet, and this new framework will be based on Iranian parliamentary law.

Regarding negotiations with Europe, Araghchi maintained that contacts continue, though he criticized Europe’s current stance, asserting that Europe cannot invoke ‘snapback’ measures and no longer qualifies as a JCPOA participant. He confirmed that technical and legal discussions are ongoing.

The Foreign Minister also addressed negotiations with the United States, reiterating that the next round has not been set, with nothing finalized. On regional issues, Araghchi mentioned ongoing consultations with Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing Iran’s readiness to assist in peace processes between the two countries. He highlighted Iran’s commitment to maintaining regional sovereignty and territorial integrity, aligning with the joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Araghchi clarified that discussions are focused on a transit road under Armenian sovereignty, to be managed by an American-Armenian company. He warned against foreign presence in the region, citing potential negative impacts on peace and stability, which Iran has communicated to both Azerbaijan and Armenia.

On the situation in Gaza, Araghchi reiterated Iran’s condemnation of the occupation and displacement of Gazans, referencing a joint statement by 22 Islamic countries. He condemned the ongoing crimes in Gaza, highlighting the strong positions taken by Islamic and Arab nations on the matter.
