Geneva: Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, currently in Geneva, Switzerland, for the second round of nuclear talks with the United States, has engaged in a meeting with his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi. This strategic meeting is part of the routine procedures associated with each round of talks, aiming at achieving final coordination before the official commencement of indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the nuclear negotiations are scheduled to take place tomorrow morning with Oman's mediation at the Omani Embassy. Araghchi, who is heading the Iranian delegation, also held a meeting with Rafael Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency. During this session, Iran's technical perspectives regarding the indirect Iran-US nuclear talks were discussed.
The new phase of nuclear discussions began on February 6 in Muscat, where the Iranian and US negotiating teams shared a set of views, considerations, and approaches through the Omani foreign minister. At the end of these discussions, both parties described the conversations as good and indicated their willingness to continue with the process.
