Araghchi Warns Compromised US Officials Against Mindless Aggression

Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly criticized certain elements within the US administration for ignoring realities on the ground and pushing policies that would only raise the cost of any potential agreement.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a post on X on Thursday, Araghchi wrote, "Compromised individuals in the U.S. administration are burying their heads in the sand." He emphasized that they ignore the realities on the ground and appear focused solely on 2028. Araghchi warned that the mindless aggression they advocate will only ensure that the President of the United States pays a heavier price for the deal being pursued.

The remarks follow the illegal US-Israeli aggression against Iran and ongoing efforts related to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. This memorandum aims to end hostilities and restore stability in the region, including the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Araghchi's comments emphasize Tehran's firm stance that any further adventurism or denial of Iran's legitimate defensive achievements and sovereign rights will complicate diplomacy and impose greater costs on Washington.
