Araqchi Emphasizes Negotiation Over Media Speculation in Iran-U.S. Deal Discussions

Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has addressed recent speculations about an imminent agreement between Tehran and Washington, emphasizing the importance of negotiations over media chatter. In a recent post on his X account, Araqchi stated, “media is speculating about an imminent Iran-U.S. deal. Not sure if we are there yet.”

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araqchi highlighted Iran’s commitment to finding a diplomatic solution that benefits all parties involved. He stressed that any agreement must fully terminate all sanctions and uphold Iran’s nuclear rights, including enrichment. Araqchi reiterated that the path to a deal lies at the negotiating table, not through media reports.

In response to what he described as “fake news” regarding Iran-U.S. diplomacy, Araqchi criticized the use of Iran as a tool to attack American critics, mentioning that even Israel’s involvement in such narratives is “low.”
